Our perennials as cut flowers in a small local church of great historical importance
3. June, 2017
dr. Sabina Šegula, who had the honor of decorating St. Peter’s Basilica for the Vatican Easter celebrations for many years now (professor and Master Dutch Floral Design) and a good friend of ours, came with the idea that soon became reality.
The small church that lies high on the hill above our nursery is a wonderfull working space for someone with the sense of beauty. It lies away from civilisation, only a 4x4 car could bring all the necessar for our work. But the view on the valley below is truly wonderfull.
Sabina, Rock Finale (also prefessor at http://www.bc-naklo.si) and two students: Katja Podjed in Katja Kamnikar, opened a totaly new world to us. For that we are grateful.
Everyone who visited the church was impressed.
We started in the field where our mother plants grow.
The construction was set.
Inside Sabina arranged the tasks.
The orange blossoms of Kniphofia are designed just like burning torches.
We started to work.
The arrangement under the altar first got a green base ..
... then a color filler
The columns to the left and to the right of the altar cast a special magic on the room.
Master at work.
Can anyone say it's not wonderful?
Master in action.
The world depends on our youth.
Almost at the end.
It's a shame that it's not forever.
Team after the work has been done.
